We have finally gotten pictures of our trip to Las Vegas from our semi annual Las Vegas Market, one of the largest home furnishing shows in the world. MAF keeps up with the latest furniture industry trends by visiting trade shows semi annually and update our customers with the latest home fashions, fabrics, and designs. With over 1000 suppliers and manufacturers located under 3 large buildings it takes us an entire week to view the spectacle of the highly efficient, technologically advanced buildings. This year we even had a special guest, Rod Steward performed a free concert.
This year we noticed that trends are moving towards eco friendly furnishings with sustainable products from makers like "Vaughan Bassett", Khory, and even Modloft. For afford ability a product that made its big debut was "regenerated leather" which is a eco friendly solution to leather which is made from binding scraps of leather, with a small amount of rubber and finished with a polyurethane finish. It looks and feels more like leather than its close relative "bicast leather". Thats whats up with our planet news.
Moving on to another exciting topic, Alexander Julian teams up with Vaughan Bassett. At a press conference held 1/28/08 in Vaughan-Bassett’s Las Vegas showroom, Vaughan-Bassett President and CEO Wyatt Bassett said, “Our partnership is a unique collaboration between an American design icon and the largest manufacturer of wooden adult bedroom furniture in the United States.” The highly respected and admired designer veteran with is signature eye catching designs is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Diamond Sofa has also made some not to be missed debuts, heading towards the more bold white lacquers, and colors like plum and tauny taupe.
